Eligibility Criteria
- Master’s degree in Physical Education (M.P.Ed.) from a recognised university
- B.P.Ed. and B.Ed. from recognised institutions are mandatory
- Minimum 8–10 years of teaching experience in Physical Education, including at least 5 years in an academic leadership or departmental coordination role
- Thorough understanding of the CBSE curriculum, assessment practices, and sports education framework
- Proven experience in planning, organising, and managing inter-school competitions, sports events, annual sports meets, and co-curricular programmes
- Ability to lead, mentor, and evaluate the Physical Education department while fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork
- Strong knowledge of fitness education, sports science, health and wellness, injury prevention, and student well-being
- Experience in curriculum planning, lesson observations, timetable management, and departmental administration
- Ability to develop student talent in various sports and encourage participation at district, state, and national levels
- Excellent leadership, communication, organisational, and stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency in integrating technology and data-driven practices into sports education and department management
